I'd like to walk into a bamboo rod shop with a rod looking like that wrapped up in paper, and ask the owner to get the "set" out, then watch the
expression on his face when I put that rod down on the counter. I'd bet his eyes would pop out of his head

Reminds me of the old ads for the Shakespeare "Ugly Stick" rods showing how they would bend without breaking, but they couldn't match that
Palakona noodle.
