The 2009 Feather-Craft catolog is selling Struble flor-grade rings at $3.65. I'm not familiar with Struble cork and what in heavens name supports that
price point?

That price is supported by people with more money than good sense.

I would have to see the quality, but knowing Struble, it is only the best. There are going to be very few is any voids in that cork. And that price is in the
ballpark for the best cork.

they're dealers for others products, they don't import themselves so you have to pay 2 profits at least, theirs and Struble's if not several more.
The best prices will be had the closer to Portugal you get. If it's outstanding cork it may very well be worth it, cork has gone dramatically down hill in
the last 4 or 5 years.

if you have watched the you tube video for picky bastard cork you know that only a very small number of rings make the flor grade out of hundreds of rings ,less than one grips worth is the norm. That being said, i recently went halfs with Dwight lyons on a 100 pack from anglers workshop in woodland wa.that was vurtually flawless. their price was 2.50 a ring and they no longer have any because we bought them out. that 100 rings came from an order for 5000. I think that is the only way you get this quality anymore Find it and pay the price without a gripe because you may not see quality again for a year or more. |
