Posts: 191 05/28/2009 20:32	Tags : None Recently received my next project rod. A rather novel, Heddon #14 9' 2F 3/2 with the sock and tip protector. The cane, ferrules (double scored), cork (Bottle Half Wells) and seat (SB)are in good shape. The questions I have for anyone in the know: Does anyone have a photo of the signature wrap? The orginally partially remains however I would like to copy it exactly. I assume it is the same as in Mr. Sinclair's Heddon Book (1st Era rod) The butt section had intermediates, none remain. Mr. Sinclair indicated that the intermediates alternate red and black. Which color was first? Was there intermediates on the mid and tip? Thanks alot for any help. Regards John

Posts: 1217 05/28/2009 22:17 Crusty Old Fart	Good Evening John, As to your questions, yes both the mid and tips have intermediates as well as the butt. The sequence of interm. wraps bewteen any two guides is red, black, red. All of these wraps are rather thin, I don't remember how many turns, but they were all done with YLI 100 silk. I put a post, with pictures, of the Heddon #14 on 5/7/09. You will find it on the "fishing bamboo fly rods" board (page 2) with the heading of "why 24 corks instead of 12?" There are pictures of the signature wraps along with the bass decal. Hope this helps, if not get back to me. Bruce
