Jim is a stand up guy. I have bought several books from him. He has a nice collection of Hardy reels and is very knowledgeable. He is an old school No. Cal.
steelheader. He has a part in the movie Lost Coast about steelhead in No. Cal. in the old days.

I missed his catalog in April and contacted Jim. He said he did not publish one this spring but that he hoped to this fall. I hope he does.

Jim Adams is a great guy, an honest dealer and extremely knowledgeable. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of fishing, books and tackle gained not just from
buying and selling, but from extensive first hand fishing experience. He has been one of the pioneering flyfishers in northern Calif., Florida, B.C., New
Zealand, Russia and other places. He has fished almost anywhere you can think of. He has known all the famous western rodmakers back to E.C. Powell
personally and is especially knowlegeable about Hardy gear and western bamboo rods and rodmakers. He's a great guy to deal with, and my own rod &
reel collection reflects a fair amount of dealing with him.

On a side note wonderful movie about the steelhead and salmon fishery that once was part of California.
