I have a Sport King M 3/7 8 1/2 ft rod and I intend to fish it.
The rod is in excellent shape.
Anyone know what the line wt would be on this rod ?

I would try a 6 WF and 6 DT line this would give you an idea if the rod is under, or over, lined but I have found most 8'6" rods happily accept a 6
wt.

Thanks Banjo,
I fished it today with a 4wt sylk line I had from another rod and I do think a 5 or 6 WF will do the trick. I did land 15 Browns with it........  .........a nice morning of fishing
for sure.

I did go to my local fly shop and and tried a 5 and 6 wt DT.
I went with the 5 wt DT and am very happy with the rod.
