Due to a recent reference to a Model 11 I thought I would post the information on the one I have. So far, I believe the rod to be original and not a fake, but
not 100% sure. Will try to take photos when I have time, but right now I am packing to go fishing in NE Wisconsin for a week. Will be taking my favorite rod:
Heddon #10, 8ft, 1 3/4f. Also a near mint Montague Fishkill 7 1/2ft that has white hand-written specs on the butt section, and a Heddon #20, 7 1/2ft, 1 1/2f.
Need to catch some brook trout. Not a lot of opportunities to catch them in Missouri.
The Model #11 bag is definately a heddon. Generic Heddon label is sewn into the flap of the bag. Paper label is sewn into the edge of the bag. Lighter brown cloth with red bias tape along the edge of the bag. On the Heddon paper tag (red and white) is typed #11 Med. 9ft and hand written is 2 1/2fer. Wooden protecter for the tips fits in the bag. Windings are a dark green, plain silver ferrules, long teardrop cork grip. Sliding band, rolled on one side, over a wooden reel seat. Above the grip is"Heddon" in familiar spiral script and #11 above the plain silver winding check. Butt cap has "Heddon" stamped on it like the early models.
