Lead | ||

Echoing a current thread, here's a poll. Do you like your reel to click? Or not?

Pat ,I voted for a screamin reel, I suppose if I could catch enough fish big enough to make a lot of noise I might get sick of it but so far like the
occasional running fish. I look at the fish other guys are posting on board and think there are some nice fish or some very good fishermen in USA and overseas
,probabley some of both. I live in pretty wild area but fish I catch are usually not that big for noise to be a problem,I can only wish for such a problem.

The screaming reelers are definitely in the majority. Ah, the music of the check!

Try as you might to bait me HillsBilly, it'll do no good. I believe Henry David would embrace me as one who marches to the beat of a different (and
silent) drummer.

Having handled the Spuce's SC, I immediately went over to the silent dark side, and admit to doing most of my current fishing checkless. Amazing what one
spectacular reel will do to old habits.

BHB.
It's rare to find such consistent eloquence, always w/ a dash of laughs. Little did I know that, with my post, I'd end up on your "Black(Hills) list." But it's a definite honor. PCG |

We're all on the list for the National Endangered Species Program. No escaping, I'm afraid. Could be, the moment they see our cane rods & old Hardy
reels, we even qualify for the "rare and endangered" species list. What's worse, in some states we're protected--and in others, they issue
licenses to hunt us down.
Got to go now. I'm calling my state game warden. Find out where I stand in all this. |

Now everywhere they go, together of course, one hears the gentlest strumming and drumming: just a pitter-pat, pitter-pat, (more softly yet) pitter-pat. billy your silly , oh what will you come up with next , i had to read that at least 4 times while laughing and spitting tea all over my computor screen , i'm glad now i got rid of my SC reel to sprucie , hate to be black (hills) listed

Okay BHB, and OK Rich--this topic is about one thing & one thing only: do you do it with a click or like it silent.
That's it. No complications. :-) |

Do I like them silent or do I like them screaming? Hmm..... I'll have to think on that for a while.
