I'm on the hunt for a replacement set of ferrules for my Montegue heavy casting rod. Does anybody know of any manufactures or vendors that still might
have some of these heavy style ferrules?

Some interesting wraps on that old Monty, next to the ferrule. Any chance it has a model name on it? If not, I'd love to see some pics, and I may be able to give it a name. Not many rods sported those reinforced ferrules. Very few had that fancy knurling on them. . . . Rex TheMontyMan |

sorry don't have it in 64's but the male ferrule that slides into the female mic'd at .421" if that helps.

I measured the slide on a male ferrule for the reinforced Montague pairs that I have and the slide outer dia. is 0.294 and so not even close. The largest ferrules, of any kind, that I have are 0.380 something or other and so not even close. Those aren't reinforced and are thin-walled. Sorry, but I can't come close to matching the size that you need. |
