Gents,
I'm just delving into the world of cane rod building and had a question about spliced rod planing forms. I have a 13' for 9 and a 14' for 10/11 spliced Sharpes rods and wanted to delve into creating similar rods with a hollowbuilt design. I imagine that the planing forms are quite different than a standard ferruled form and am curious what could be done to not make rod specific forms bc when I mic'd out my rods the splices are of different length and taper. I have seen the swelled butt forms and was curious if a similar design is utilized in the spliced design.
If there is anyone who is versed in this type of construction I would greatly appreciate your inputas.
Many Thanks, Nathan
