Weather has been rainy and cold -- seems like an endless mountain spring. Firehole, Gibbon and Madison in the park fishing pretty well: principally PMDs and
caddis. Madison below Hebgen is still pretty full but fishable. Gallatin running pretty high and cloudy last time I saw it. Still some snow in the high
country. Temps and weather forecasted to be moderating over the next ten days. Hatches have been somewhat difficult to predict due to variability of the
weather. Suggest checking with Blue Ribbon Flies for up-to-the-minute reports http://www.blueribbonflie...rnal/fishingreport.shtml as well as Jacklin's Fly SHop.

Eric has it just right - prolonged spring weather and rain has delayed things a bit. You are coming at a good time. Spring-fed streams like Madison in the
Park, Firehole and Gibbon are good right now. Henry's Fork has been a bit on and off, but should bust loose any day now and the Madison below Quake Lake
will have salmonflies during the coming week or two as the weather warms. Air temps are in the 60's now, but due to go to 80's in the next few days.
Good luck.

Madison is running mud below Hebgen - Gallatin and Jefferson bank full - the Firehole is fishing fine and the water is a little higher than I am used to
fishing. Gibbon is high and clear - still a few fish - madison is fishing in the park - west branch is running mud - Missouri is clear and running 7700 cfs

Many thanks to you all. Good, useful information. I'll be at Henrys Lake Tuesday night and ready to fish, fish, fish.
