Thanks for the spiritual guidance and prayers, Pat. It's so uplifting that I'm already looking forward to the next trip, despite the fact that I'll
probably be slandered again by the ungrateful Bearded Bohemian after we return.
As for my German teacher, the poor misguided woman was evidently a maniacal member of the German American Bund, which was slightly right of Attila the Hun, but WWII kinda shut it down and it never really resurfaced after the war. I had a lot of fun giving her crap about it, tho, and it really torqued her that she had to pass me because I already knew German from my Grandmother and could pass the tests. She really hated my guts, and was sad when she found out some years later that I wasn't in jail somewhere. gofish |
