Don't know a lot about these reels, was hoping to get a little imput about what I have here including value, all parts are stamped "23" and
the winding plate is also stamped "Z", flea market find, thanks, Todd

Everything about your reel seems to point to an early post-war time frame -- i.e., the reel's lead finish, script style, 'Z' & '23'. As opposed to bearing the initial of an individual reel maker, the 'Z' indicates that your Perfect was a transitional reel, in that it was comprised (in part) of components manufactured either pre-war or during the war when limited-licensure was granted for brief periods of tackle manufacture. Hand-fitted and finished on a bench, the '23' is a lot or batch number which precluded the makers from mixing-up (major) components from various reels during the fitting and finishing processes.
