I have seen some pics of reels made of wood on this site . Is there books about them or maybe books about building them. Seems like it would give me something
to do while waiting for the varnish to dry on my rods. Lewis

You can do a forum search for Dallari to read about and find a link to his home site. Very nice reels.
I believe the frame/housing is wood but the internals are metals. Dennis |

a wooden fly reel is the most lovely thing you can use , the sound is amazing when you get a fish , i used a malloch early perth reel last year and it is truly
lovely , i contacted dallari but got no response yet , wooden and old brass and ebonite reels are crackin..
