I keep reading about this but can not seem to find the taper anywhere. I would appreciate if someone could pass it on to me if available. Thanks in advance.

Anthony;
I've made at least a dozen swelled butt Perfectionists, it works great as far as I'm concerned. You don't really need the whole taper, all you need to do is start the swell 5" in front of the grip and make it as big as you wish. I swell mine .100 in 5" . I use a taper from George Maurer, the dimension at the ferrules is .203 and iirc, it's .285 at 75", I sell it to .385 at 80". john |

go over to hexrod on the web listings there for perf taper. Agree the swell just stops action and adds a neat look, so you can swell it to whatever you like.
the action of the rod will then be from the swell to the tip. What a swell does is shorten the action of a rod, so a 7'6" rod might cast more like a
6'10" - just throwing hypothetical numbers there but you get the point - flex mostly stops at swell for casting purposes.
