Hello,- I spent a wonderful vacation cutting corners the of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Montana this August.
In a tackle shop North of Jackson Hole (Moose) I saw some nice, brand new bamboo rods for sale and I had a close look at them in the shop,- two Bellingers and a Scott.
I was quite amazed about the high standard of workmanship. It can`t get much better I think, short nodes, flawless varnish, nice and thin uninterrupted wrappings, beautiful hardware. A compliment to the makers.
Also I handled a rod by a maker, I think his name was "Elder" in another shop, which I also liked very much and that one was on par with the aforementioned.
All in all a pleasant experience.
My best regards to the very patient staff and guides in various shops, especially to Aaron at Four Seasons Flyfishers.
And, of course to my friend Dan, who took me on a tour down the Green River, without his generous invitation, I might never have gone to alll these beautiful places,- you might check out here,-
