Holy cow another one for the Gnomes travelling rod show.
The rod was on that site not to be named and was passed on at least one full auction cycle if not 2. Could not resist adding another 1 butt 4 mid 3 tip rod and it is another one with a baleen tip and composite wood/scarfed nodeless bamboo tips Butt and mids are full calcutta. And it was a steal for the price. Love buying those pre 1870/60 rods for not alot.
That makes three with the baleen tips and it will be in good company next to the John Cheek walking stick rod circa 1830-1840 and the George Eaton rod(CIRCA 1825-1836).
And another name off of the list of needed or wanted items for the "GTRS"
WOOHOO!!!!~!!
Jeff
P.S. one date point of this rod is the single standing rings which where the transition from Hanging rings to snakes in England circa 1850-60's
