bow river wrote: It's a cosy little fair with a good quality and variety overall. A friend of mine runs the website http://classreel.com/index/reels.html and I talked to him about the new anniversary ATH "Remco" reel.
He's bought ten and he told me they're flying away. Always a pleasure to get to talk reels with John Drewett. His prices are the best of the entire
fair, and he's always open to trades. Niklas was also there to promote and sell his ATH book. Didn't get to speak to him unfortunately, very busy at
his stall and my German is quite bad anyway. He had a great Brunswick Cascapedia 1/0 that I might've bought if I hadn't found the Bouglé.

thanks for the picture , i seen allot of 1912 checks , not all the same and yours is one i like , congrats as that a heck of a reel with all that finish still one it wilf i can't wait to see your bougle reel , what a deal for you , if it was perfect you'd be scared to take it fishing now you have a reel to just take to the trout rivers , so you didn't see any wide drum perfects , anything else nice at that fair , i wish i lived near where i could go to all them gatherings and auctions , if your looking for a 1/0 brunswick wilf , i have one and would do a trade for a reel or give you a good deal for it , look nice sitting up on your shelf next to the all brass perfect you have

ReelDane, Your lovely Allcock looks very similar to mine...(one I got from that 'troublemaker' BobbeeGee! Mine has an on-off click button, otherwise,
nearly identical. And Mikko, I love that Nillson! I've never seen red side plates...Nice!

Two little wonders... Dingley 'uniqua' type, 3", horseshoe latch, no maker stamp, D1 internally, 1 on foot and one dot on gear (slightly bent
foot, must deal with that):
and a 3 1/4" JJSWalker Bampton 'St George' type, with left or right hand pawls! Stamped '4' on back of spool.
Anyone have any idea of a possible date for these two? Stuart |

First, early 1920s & the second reel, mid-1950s. Nice examples!

I just added the reel on the right, a 2.75" Dingley to my tiny collection of small reels ...the other two being 2.5" Heatons. I seem to like small,
alloy reels with yellow/ed knobs.

Wow that salmon perfect really got me going. Beautiful reel.
Often I have been exhausted on trout streams, uncomfortable, wet, cold, briar scarred, sunburned,
mosquito bitten, but never, with a fly rod in my hand have I been in a place that was less than beautiful.

I bought this reel without seeing it , and was very concerned when I read in Maxtone Grahams book that a Bougle with 'rod in hand' hadn't been
seen before. I sent photos to rich who gave it the thumbs up,and Charlie Norris' jaw dropped when he saw it at Hardys today. He said its the only one
he's seen and never heard of another.
