I have a South Bend/ Cross rod built 9', 3/2 and marked Double Built with a serial # 2517. Can anyone tell me when this was built? Thank you in advance for

Purely a guess, but based on the reel seat I would expect it to have been sometime after WW II. The seat was introduced before the War but that model rod had
the old screwlock seat earlier and they may have had enough old inventory to carry them into the first war years. I have one with the old seat.
Just a guess. |
