"INTERVALE" |

|
Hi everyone, I've got what looks like an very old split cane (6) 3 piece 91/2 foot rod in fair condition (all 3 pieces are the same length) - it is in a
canvas rod case with a bamboo wading staff, the only marking I can find anywhere on it is on the reel seat - INTERVALE - I've looked all over and can't
find a thing on-line, any and all help greatly appreciated!
Has anyone ever heard of a rod manufacturer called Intervale? (Result) |

I also have a 9', 3/2 with tip tube, it is marked on the reel seat "intervale" and I've never figured out who made it. I think it was made
in Canada but I can't prove it. I picked up the rod on ebay and I think it came from N.S., but that was a while ago.

Bruce, that would seem to make sense as there are a couple of shops up there that do guided fishing and lodging etc. - maybe they also make their own?
Out of curiosity - how much did you pick it up for? Thanks again! |

I don't remember what the price was, perhaps $100 or so. I was wrong, the rod is 9 1/2'. The guides are wrapped in black/ white jasper with 2 stand
off red bands, the intermed. wraps are also black / white jasper. All of the fittings are plated, this rod also has very fine tips with 2 diff. tip tops, the
stripper is agate(?)
