Softhackle, Ian Tyson is a hero of mine. I saw Ian and Sylvia at a folk club in Greenwich Village...way back in 1964. I next heard him in Bozeman, MT in
2000! But I've always loved his voice and songs....On another 'note', here are a few photos from yesterday's assault on the shad of the
Rappahannock. Once again, Chris Bogart's Shennandoah Spey and my Farlow BWP.

Michael,
I sure wish I had seen Ian & Sylvia back then.They are played a lot on XM channel " The Village" as are all the Greenwich stalwarts from that era.I find Fred Neil to be very interesting as a performer/character from that time. I can't imagine swinging a Spey rod with any degree of skill. Sometimes I seem to have my hands full with a 7' 4wt. |

THANKYOU BOWRIVER!!! | #364 | ||
|
I just got home from my trip to Calgary and wanted to say a special thanks to Rich. This day on the Bow was awesome but was a test for me . This was one ugly
day. Rich had endless dedication and persistance to put me on fish. He could of bailed out numerous times during the day. Wind, rain, snow, and muddy water
from the snow melt. It was some of the hardest fishing but also by far the best time and place I have fished. Richard is an AWESOME guide, fisherman and a true
friend that will do anything to make sure your fishing trip is as good as it can possibly be, no matter what the conditions. Again, THANKS my friend and I
can't wait to fish with you this summer(bowriver) it was a pleasure. Oh ya and thanks for posting some pics. WLYBGR.

LeeB,
That's a great combo, isn't it. One my favorites. Much as I like my Heddons on Heddons, this combo is still my all-time favorite, and I fished it today for the first time in a while.

Teter;
That's a winner as well. I picked up a Phillipson Premium this Winter, and plan to use it for the first time next week on the W. Branch of the Delaware. Debating between the Imperial and a 3-screw St. George. Life hands us such difficult choices, eh? Photos to follow - hopefully. Lee |
