Here's a picture of my first trout caught on a bamboo rod last week in the Platte river at the ORCA convention. The reel is a Pflueger Gem 2094 and the
rod was a Granger Aristocrat that Bill Land was good enough to let me borrow. Cheers Russ

A Heddon Imperial, early version, with an 8 1/2-foot Leonard of about the same vintage.

Keep them pics rolling...beautiful all around. Catching fish is one thing, but hooking up and hearing these older reels sing is pure heaven to me. I can not
begin to explain how happy I am that my interest stemmed from pure fly fish to collecting and fishing these types of reels...!

This was an interesting experience, on a Payne 100 4-weight with a McVickar Bushkill reel (Harry McVickar briefly owned part of Payne in the ' 40s).

Orvis Battenkill Flyweight made by Young. The rod is a 7'0 Orvis Equinox made by Sharpe's.

Oddsnrods,
That's a very cool outfit and a nice-looking fish. What's the rod? |

Thanks Teter. The rod is an early 7'6" baitcaster of mine, quite a sturdy rod and somewhat overkill for that bass ,which was returned. I posted a more
up-to-date baitcaster on the 'Made Any Rods Lately?' section of this forum a couple of days ago which may be of interest.
