What is "boo"? |

It's driving me crazy! Is it something you yell when you are hiding in you wife's longerie closet and she opens the door? I'm stumped. Please
helps.

It's also, I should add, on the list of proscribed terms as detailed in the VWB by-laws. Indeed the list of proscribed terms comprises the by-laws in their
entirety. Here it is as best as I can recollect (the by-laws are ductile and passed along via the oral tradition):
Boo Newbie Wand Pig Hog Gin-clear |

|
||||
Soft Hackle |

Excellent recall by the C.I. as it has been a few years since the bylaws were codified, albeit loosely as described above . I would like to offer the term
" tweaked " for consideration to the VWB inner circle, as an addition to the above list. It is so commonly used to describe tapers that without
specific clarification the expression itself has lost any relevance.

Tweaked is definitely in.(Or out, as the case may be) There were also Mint, Unfished, Stick, Sweet,and others in the forbidden lexicon.

"Tweaked." Yes, I like it, Martin. I mean, I hate it.
The boo newbie crouched low, his recently acquired, mint, unfished wand in hand and he watched intently as the hogs, which were stacked up from bank to bank like so much cordwood, finned lazily in the gin-clear flow. "This sweet stick feels so light in hand. I'm gonna nail one of those pigs," he thought to himself as the line silently unfurled from the tip of the rod, a Payne clone that had been tweaked to add an extra foot to its length.

A Vote for Gin-Clear | #7 | ||
Cloozoe wrote:Len, I would like to throw my hat in the ring for "gin-clear". If one describes the clarity of an english chalkstream, the term "gin-clear" is absolutely imperative, if not indispensable. Puting "gin-clear" on the list of proscribed terms would be like asking you chaps from the colonies not to call a north country wet fly a "soft hackle". With the very best from "Krautland", Christian

DrakeBob...That's what I'm talkin' 'bout! You nailed it, Bro! Awesome! Actually, I believe any
member of this Forum found using the B-word should be soundly caned...and then tweaked...hard!

And then he should be casted into the drink. The gin-clear drink.

An interesting fact about those gin-clear chalk streams is that due to the amount of dissolved calcium and other minerals in them, they are actually a little
bit cloudy.

But how clear is gin? Especially after one or six?

Bob,
Your narrative should stand as the definitive interpretation of the current bylaws . You are most deservedly the Sergeant at Arms and Chief Magistrate. |

Which explains why "VWB" stands for "VolksWagen Bus," a typical staging platform for these experiences. From personal experience I must add "on any given day," to the list of proscribed phrases, as in "On any given day this forum is a veritable gin-clear font of information about boo." |
